Helping BC clinicians & scientists advance kidney disease knowledge & care
What we do
The BC Kidney Research Collaboratory offers services that help British Columbia’s community of kidney researchers do their best work, leading to better treatment and care for people living with kidney disease.
We help kidney researchers connect with peers and mentors, navigate research requirements, plan their research projects and access research data. No matter what type of kidney research you’re doing, or what stage you’re at in your career, contact us to explore how we can work together.

Using implementation science to increase the impact of kidney research
Kidney disease affects 850 million people globally, and mortality from kidney diseases is rising. In nephrology, like many other specialities, there are gaps between evidence and practice in the care of patients. Implementation science can help bridge these gaps. Dr. Michelle Wong, a nephrologist and clinical researcher with BC Renal, has used implementation science techniques and tools to increase the impact of her research projects on patient care.
